Campaign Stances
Environment & Water
Amanda has always been supportive of environmental and water protections. She understands that protecting the resources is the job of every Hoosier and will support County Council efforts to protect local resources from being targeted.
Community Safety
Amanda is supportive of initiatives to address community safety. Amanda's experience and education has allowed her to gain experience and perspective on how complex community safety can be.
Equitable Elections
Amanda is an activist in supporting efforts to make elections more equitable for Hoosiers. Per the Civic Index, Indiana ranks last in the nation for voter turnout and engagement. Amanda is supportive of working with the County Council to help engage voters, educate voters on issues and rights, and work to build a thriving democracy.
About Amanda
Amanda Eldridge was born in Lafayette, Indiana and moved back to the area in 2019. She currently lives in Battle Ground, IN. She earned her B.A. in Criminal Justice from Indiana University and her Master of Criminal Justice from Boston University. Amanda is a diehard Chicago Bears fan. She is also an avid reader and there's a good chance you can find her at a bookstore.
County Experience
One thing that sets Amanda apart is her experience working at the county level. She worked as a Case Manager in Tippecanoe County and a Pretrial Officer in Allen County. She understands that counties have various needs and that the decisions made by the County Council have multiple impacts on the community from available resources to providing livable employment to county employees.
Volunteer & Activism
Amanda volunteers with different organizations in Indiana. She is a board member of Lafayette's Adult Learners Inc. She currently volunteers with MADVoters in Indiana. She was at the Period Action Day at the Indiana Statehouse to support the repeal of the tax of menstrual products in Indiana. Amanda has also volunteered with Big Brothers Big Sisters in multiple counties.
